Hello, I’m James. I live in a little town in Essex, England and have been working in the fitness industry since 2006. It all began as a part time job at a local college gym. Onto running the facility, teaching fitness, and running courses. Since then, it has evolved into working with people more one to one. 

My first taste of disciplined exercise in sport was in my teens at a premiership rugby club. I learnt the foundation for training principles and discipline in my teens. Taking part in different sports and with regular training.I became interested to teach and coach the principles to help people. 

What really inspired me to get into this kind of work ? Well, I like to be in an environment with people and I enjoy seeing others excel. It motivates me to see the changes in others and tailoring programs / motivation and altering their lifestyles for the better.

I have had a passion for exercise, health and fitness for a long time & always known I would be working in the field. After studying the relevant industry qualifications after my university education, self development is a key factor. Ongoing self study is the way forward. Finding something you can really get your teeth into with a passion is worth its weight in gold. I want to really offer my experience and knowledge to everyone I can .

From my teaching years I am putting together courses which are a reflection of the last twenty years of experience. I urge everyone to seek ongoing development, to set new goals and be a better version of themselves. We want to be happy and we have to make sacrifices to achieve that, that’s where I come in.   

My calibre of clients include a Hollywood legendary director, film and TV actors, people on radio,  musicians, professional athletes and local people where I live who want to be fit, active and lose weight. Others for muscle gain, those with back pain, poor eating habits and others that want to feel better & healthier.

My qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified specialist personal trainer, with focus in Obesity diabetes and G.P. Referral meaning I work with people with certain ailments such as for hypertension, diabetes, Osteoporosis, Obesity, Arthritis, mental health and wellbeing. Working with athletes and people in film and music, I also do specialise in these mentioned areas. If assessments are needed for big projects of a client’s wellbeing or a specific plan for an event is needed, that can be provided.

 

I have worked in various gym facilities, and colleges teaching fitness courses for years which started in my twenties a few years after my University education, then onto the more one to one sessions with people for years, gaining a lot of experience along the way. Making a difference is really important to me and that part really makes my day.

From bootcamps, outdoor, indoor training, group sessions one to one, pairs training, team events, and various. It all is a great way to help improve health, fitness and general positive outlook.

I am very attentive and will take time to really go through things as needed, making sure you have all the right information and guidance as needed.
